The Top Socialite has created a youtube link-up with 12 of the craziest moments on the David Letterman show. My personal favorite is the one where Letterman put on a suit with thousands of Alka Seltzer tablets sewn into it. It’s absurd. It’s wacky. It’s completely David Letterman and it is completely fantastic.

The rest of the list is more David speaks with some nutty people instead of Dave does some wacky stuff, but they are pretty good.

I haven’t actually watched Letterman in years. In fact I pretty much stopped when he moved to CBS. This isn’t so much a knock on CBS or even Letterman (though did seem to go all prime time class, moving away from the silly stupid guy who used to jump into a water tank with Alka Seltzer) but more about my own television habits. I pretty much don’t watch any late night TV these days. I’m old. I go to bed early. On the occasion that I do stay up late it certainly isn’t watching TV (unless there is a Monk marathon on.)
