Wow, what a blast from the past. I had an ongoing press pass for the Capitol. A friend of mine worked outside security for John Scher back in the day. I saw many great shows there. The Garcia shows were special events. i think Jerry liked playing there more than any other place.

    Hi,

nice to see you back up and running again. For the record it’s an excellent shortlist of artists. I mean you are ‘The Man’ these days for Van posts and Dead/Jerry shows too. As for Bob well I have cupboards full but can always find room for more!
Yeah, these artists on Filefactory host sounds like a winning combination to me.

Take care and big thanks as always

ah nice to have ya back. Capitol Theater was in a seedy part of Jersey, XXX Movies during the day and great rock shows at night. I saw GD there 4/27/77 and Bob Weir 3/78. These shows were great, Jer seemed to like the vibe there. Heck he did his solo acts there. John Scher was the owner. Wished I was at these shows. You have brought them to me. Thanks and welcome back!

Hey Street Pig, I was at that Dead show too. I think I still have the ticket stub somewhere. The Heidelburg behind the Capitol was a great bar.
And yeah, great to see this up and running again. Welcome back.

Wilbur, I did frequently visited a bar nearby the theater, say the least we kinda stood out being the only white hippies there. We spent money and freely gave a lot of smiles too. We probably weren’t the first freaks to patronize the fine establishment :). The patrons and staff could feel that we were peaceful and were looking to anchor the lyseric tide that was staring to seep into our brains. SP

The Dead played the Palladium the week after these shows. I spent my 20th birthday at the Palladium seeing the Dead. What a memorable birthday that was.
We used to go to the Heidelburg on nights when there weren’t any shows. It was that great a place.
We were Northern Bergen County Hippies.
